Price and Taylor Counties

    Topics:   * Introduction and Overview: Nutrient Management Planning Concepts, Regulations and Agencies

           * Nutrient Management Plan Development

    Goal: Upon completion of this workshop, farmers will be able to complete a nutrient management plan for their farm

Classes at the Phillips locatoin will be held in the UW Extension Conference Room, Price County Normal Building, 104 S Eyder Ave

Classes at the Medford location wil be held in the UWEX Meeting Room 1, County-USDA Service Center, 925 Donald St.

NOTE: There are no prerequisites for these classes.  However, registrants will be asked to set up an appointment with the instructors prior to the workshop to complie aerial photos, soil maps, crop history, manure application history, etc, for nutrient management plan development.

An advanced class is also being offered for $80 by Dave Pagoria (Northcentral Technical College).  The advanced class will run from 10:00 am to noon in Medford and 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm in Phillips in February 22 and March 1.  The advanced class will use “SNAP” or “SNAP-Plus” for development of nutrient mangement plans and includes manure speader calibration.  Farmers do not need a computer or computer experience to take the advanced class.
